Inferno is easy to spot from across the eight-base ring. That makes it a favorite dump during admin abuse. Hosts can flood a public server with limited named units; Inferno is the one viewers recognize in a second. That date matters for two habits:

How to keep Inferno

Keeping Inferno is a defense problem, not a lore problem. Read how to protect the same session you park it.

• Place it far from the first grab prompt. An edge Inferno is a tutorial for the next runner.
• Lock as soon as it ticks. Lock again when you return from the lane. Lock is a habit attached to the place prompt, not a once-per-night ritual.
• When the lock is on cooldown, stand in the doorway. You are the lock.
• Put a bait Common (Luli or Mini Mini) on the first prompt if you have spare Commons. Keep Inferno one step deeper behind spikes.
• Do not AFK unlocked. Fire-colored models attract tourists. Tourists steal.
• Do not inspect the model in the open after a host dump. Place, relock, then emote.
• Do not chase a thief across the ring with Inferno still on an unlocked pad. Revenge with an open door is how plots swap.

If you must leave for a steal, leave only when the lock has enough time for the round trip you will actually run. Center lane buys are short. Cross-map raids are not. Inferno is a reason to shorten the trip, not a reason to ignore the timer.

How to steal Inferno

Steal Inferno only as an upgrade. The movement is the same as any other raid in how to steal: unlocked or lock-expired door, grab, turn, home, place, relock. The difference is heat. Other players can see the fire from the carpet. Expect a contest.

Before you step out:

1. Confirm your own door is locked. Trading Inferno for a stolen Secret is a bad night.
2. Name the reason out loud: “Inferno beats my current tick.” If you cannot finish that sentence, stay home.
3. Check whether a Secret or Divine is also unlocked. Those beat Inferno on this wiki’s ranks. Path there first.
4. Empty a worse slot before you leave, or you will arrive home holding Inferno with nowhere to put it.
5. Sketch the return. Spikes on the approach are not decoration. A dropped Inferno on someone else’s porch is a public gift.

Skip Inferno when the only exposed unit is a bait Common in front of a locked high-tier pad. Skip Inferno when your plot already prints Secret-scale cash. Skip Inferno when the owner is standing in the door. Waiting is cheaper than waking a defender.

During a host window, density is the real enemy. Everyone else watched the same clip. Grab the unit you can finish, not the unit you would brag about. If Inferno and Roko Roto both walk and you can carry one, take Divine. If only Inferno walks and your pad is Commons, take Inferno.
